Yamaha FG700S Acoustic Guitar

By Brian & Jeff On October 17, 2011 No Comments

The Yamaha FG700S Acoustic Guitar is one of those six string acoustic guitars that are priced very affordably and are great for beginners to start playing. The top consists of solid Sitka spruce and also includes diecast tuners as well as rosewood fingerboard. The tortoise pick guard is currently touched up with B&W body binding. If you ever decide to play under the stage lights, people who watch you play will be real impressed with the high-gloss natural looking finish. This product only way seven and a half pounds so it’s not too heavy. This acoustic guitar is the perfect guitar to buy if you’re just starting out an entry level playing. One of the idiosyncrasies of Yamaha is that they offer lifetime warranties on everything that they put out and their tortoise Picard is another cool little feature they offer on their guitar.

One Yamaha FG700S Acoustic Guitar customer we researched mentioned that although they were a beginner weren’t very good at playing the guitar, that their instructor said that they ended up buying a really great guitar especially since they were just starting out. They thought the sound that was released from this guitar was really cool and also look pretty darn fancy especially for the price. When this particular model was originally released it was hundred dollars more expensive than it is right now. So whether you’re a beginner or an intermediate player you will not be doing yourself any kind of the service even if you’re just considering this.

Another customer we looked at gave the Yamaha FG700S Acoustic Guitar a five-star rating. They were typically used to trying out other similar guitars in the $500 price range and they mentioned that even those weren’t as nice as this particular Yamaha model. They’ve had this guitar just going on for years, and there’s never any problems with the tuning. Also I wanted to mention that sometimes they would keep it in the case for several months, because of their busy schedule and when they do finally take it out of the case it operated just like if they tuned it. Can really complain about the sound just amazing and I guess that’s enough to be said about that. Not going on to the craftsmanship and quality, the engineers and people who design Yamaha guitars have many years of experience doing this so you will not have any problems in this area as well.

If you’re in the market for the Yamaha FG700S Acoustic Guitar or any other similar type of acoustic guitar for that matter, in your not interested to spend hundreds of dollars this is the guitar that you want to get. Not only is it the best guitar it’s not the most expensive and not always helps as well. Another thing that makes this guitar stand out among the rest is that they put good strings on it so you don’t have to buy extra strings to start enjoying it right away. If I was to make a warning it would be that the glossy finish on the backside of the guitar did have some cracking. However, the customer can’t honestly remember if it got this cracking after they got it or if it came when the guitar were shipped. But to be honest it’s no big deal when it doesn’t bother me while I’m playing or anything like that at least for right now but it could get worse down the road.

I can tell you right now that if their guitar had it then it’s probably just my guitar in that others don’t have it it was just one of those honest mistakes they made on my guitar find it getting it this way and it also could have been a mistake in the shipping and handling. Another thing any dimension is that this guitar plays brilliantly, but when you do get the Yamaha FG700S Acoustic Guitar make sure you look at it closely and make sure that it doesn’t have any defects and whatever you do keep the voxel there is any defects he could ship it right back. I really like the bang for the buck this musical instrument offers. When I received this musical instrument the first thing that came to my mind was how can an instrument that was so inexpensive perform so darn well?

The fit and finish on this product was also killer and extremely beautiful. If you even have the smallest inkling that this product is overpriced, spend the day going around and shopping at some of the brick-and-mortar guitar stores in Los Angeles and looking at the prices of all the guitars that are under $400. Then go back and look at which you can get on Amazon for the same price and you’ll see that you cannot get lower than this and if you do decide to purchase from a brick-and-mortar store, you’ll only end up paying more getting less. One of things you need to understand about this instrument though, is that only one strap button is included, so you have no choice but to tie the strap to the headstock.

Another thing that a customer noticed is that after about six months the pick guard started peeling but other than that they didn’t notice any other issues. From the sounds of the looks and everything else in the middle this guitar has performed beyond their expectations. If you’re looking for a very inexpensive pick up and play model than this guitar is exactly which are looking for. Yes there are better guitars out on the market, but you’d have to be willing to pay $500 enough for one in my humble opinion. The customer who mention this is a full-time student and goes to work full-time also and they don’t have much time for hobbies that they still love to just pick up his guitar and play it just for the purpose of having lots of fun.

Another customer of the Yamaha FG700S Acoustic Guitar mentioned that they been a musician for 13 years now. However in May of this year they decided to get this guitar to add to their current musical collection. Before they got it they wanted to do some web research and this model just started popping up everywhere. The first thing you notice when you start taking it out of the boxes that beautiful fresh guitar smell and how attractive looking at is. And by looking at it closely you don’t really notice a beginner looking acoustic guitar.

Finally the bright highs in the resonant lows are very impressive once you start strumming the Yamaha FG700S Acoustic Guitar. After this customer on the guitar for about 10 months their opinion was even better than their initial opinion. Everyone’s can have a different opinion of how this guitar will perform, but hundreds of people seem to think it this point that for the price it’s a no-brainer for the thousands of hours of enjoyment you’ll receive with it. At least I thought all of us married are guitars.

Jasmine By Takamine S34C NEX Acoustic Guitar

By Brian & Jeff On October 15, 2011 No Comments

Many people don’t realize this, but the same company Takamine are the same master craftsmen behind the Jasmine By Takamine S34C NEX Acoustic Guitar . This guitar has a flawless finish it is absolutely stunning and included is that brand-new smelling guitar smell. When I got this guitar I actually got it as a Thrasher guitar so I didn’t really expect much out of it when I purchased it. But one thing I have to say is that it sounds pretty darn good for the price, in fact it sounds a good I’m actually thinking of making it might mean guitar. I tend to be somewhat lazy at times, so I never really got around to swapping out my original strings. And the more I think about it I can’t say it’s just a beater guitar I think anyone could use it have lots of fun.

Since it was my birthday last month my friend decided to surprise shipping guitar to my house since he knew I like playing it part-time. Yes I do have to be honest and mentioned that I am not a full-time guitar player, at least not yet. In fact to be honest, I don’t think I ever will be because I have so many other things going on in my life but I do like to sit down and jam every now and then when I have some spare time. I guess when my friend decided to ship it to me he had an identical one in his guitar collection and he knew I’d like it because it sounded good for him. So I’d have to say that it was the best present I’ve ever received in one of the best acoustic guitars you can get.

After a couple months of having this Jasmine By Takamine S34C NEX Acoustic Guitar I can still say it’s a good deal. If you’re the type that likes to go to the beach like I do being from Oceanside California or go camping or just replace your $10 guitar that you bought at a garage sale whose bridge was about to snap the still made a good decision. I have to admit it does come with kind of a silly cheap pick guard but I immediately took it off. This acoustic guitar has bright sounds which distinguishes it from a lot of the other cheapo guitars that I’ve seen a lot of the local music shops pushing. I think the reason they push these guitars is because they know your average person doesn’t do Internet research anymore and read reviews of people that a party purchase these acoustic guitars.

I have to also say that the sustained feature on this Jasmine By Takamine S34C NEX Acoustic Guitar has a lot of room for improvement but all in all this guitar sounds great. What matters is how good it sounds like you’re strumming the chords, even when you’re doing it with the manufacturers guitar strings. But seriously, if you’re going to invest a bunch your time and energy into getting pretty playing guitar in the art he bought an acoustic guitar, why not just go out and buy some strings to go with it? I like the extra light strings myself, but that’s totally personal preference. After playing a couple weeks I started to notice that this soundboard was pulled up somewhat by the bridge in the back of this guitar but I’m not in a stress on it at all. Heck I figure if I can get five years of use out of this and I only spent $80 I’m going to be as happy as a lark.

I’m just glad that it does everything I needed to do without having to make any modifications. Although this guitar plays great I would not classify it under the genre of a classical guitar in the guitar does not come with nylon strings but the finish is spectacular and it plays good so who cares? Also it’s quite a bit bigger than some of these 3/4 scale guitars I’ve used in the past. It’s very simple to play and although there is some rubbery glue that somehow aggregated around the pick guard, I don’t see any problem with it being an awesome gift especially to a youngster who is just getting started.

I don’t really have big hands so I figured that a 3/4 guitar will end up working perfect for me. Since the Jasmine By Takamine S34C NEX Acoustic Guitar comes with an neck that is slightly narrower than most of the other models, your strings are to be closer than normal however please understand that this difference is not much at all but chords could actually be a tiny bit harder to form with your fingers. I used to be all into nylon guitar strings because they don’t tear up your fingertips as much as the metal strings. If you’re brand-new player, your fingers are going to start to get stronger because they will end up forming calluses anyway, and this won’t take forever to achieve either.

The Jasmine By Takamine S34C NEX Acoustic Guitar is one of those guitars that you really enjoy keeping it on the stand in your living room or kitchen so you will have immediate access to it, so you can just start picking it up and playing it anytime you want. I think the best way for a beginner and the best advice that I have for a beginner to increase their acoustic guitar playing skills is to just start with some short practice sections. This way you won’t experience major discomfort sometimes caused by long practice sessions. If you stick with short practice sessions the songs that you really want to play you’ll be up to play faster than you think you can. Even experienced players that check this guitar out are impressed with what it’s able to do for the small price tag attached to it.

Fender Frontman 212R Electric Guitar Amplifier

By Brian & Jeff On October 15, 2011 No Comments

Okay today were to take a look at the Fender Frontman 212R Electric Guitar Amplifier and discuss the various features, its functionalities and capabilities and also going to what other value customers think about this product. Hopefully once you get all this information in front you you can make a wise decision. This particular amplifier includes 100 W of power that split up into 4 ohms. One customer mention that they had this amplifier for just over a year now. They use to have the Roland cube 15 that they used to use for practice amplifier. However joining a band forces you to succumb in the bigger challenges and one of these challenges was to get an amp that was lot more powerful so they can start jamming engaging along with their fellow band members. As a lead guitarist they also took a look at Marshall Roland and even vox but they didn’t need to get these because the Fender frontman included everything they needed. At a price tag of under 300 bones no one could say that this doesn’t carry a lot of firepower for the buck. And the fact that it’s 100 W is a big plus. This customer has performed gigs at various clubs and pubs and he never had to turn the volume knob past two.

You don’t have to worry about how the clean channel will sound with the Fender Frontman 212R Electric Guitar Amplifier because it sounds terrific. The reverb control that’s included also has a lot to do with the great sound you hear on this amplifier. If you decide to use the effect pedals will probably be okay with this but be careful with the foot switch because they have been known to break. You might find it cool to start messing with the distortion channel for long periods of time until you find the setting that you really like. This amplifier is highly recommended if you need something that packs lots of power and volume but you don’t have thousands of bones to spend. Whether you are gigging or just practicing you’ll find that this amplifier is a great choice and something that’ll serve you well for many years.

Another customer mentioned that a sales rep in a very popular guitar shop recommended the Fender Frontman 212R Electric Guitar Amplifier to him. He said it first that he was a little upset that he was caught off guard, but ended up purchasing it anyway and was really glad he did, he said that the clean Fender sound is looking for was definitely there and he didn’t have to pay the big bucks to get it and that’s always a good thing. I mean this bad boy is so clean you can actually squeak it on command, it has gobs of headroom, and if you’re just a teleplay or you will literally fall in love with this because you’ll be able to use it as your practice amplifier.

If you’re not in the heavy metal but you’re also a youngster, you will be tickled to death and will be able to use this equipment because the price is right then. This amplifier is clean and it’s loud and although there is some distortion, you can get rid of it by coaxing the distortion out. It might not be a bad idea to add eight Dan electro distortion pedal that should be able to assist you in blacking out the distortion. This particular customer is the owner of nine different amplifiers which includes some Peavey tube models, Fender and crates and he mentions that out of all three of these models that he owns Fender takes the glory. You don’t have to look any further if you play C&W also. Also this is a great amp to own if you enjoy fingerpicking. It’s also a great choice if you’re into the mandolin, violin or electrified banjo.

Another customer decided to purchase the Fender Frontman 212R Electric Guitar Amplifier after going through many different Internet sites and reading about 70 different reviews. This particular amp performs exactly like they say it does and even does more. The clean and loud performance is just the tip of the iceberg, you shouldn’t have any issues with the two effects channels that are included as they’ve been quite adequate for this customer, however please keep in mind that they do not play heavy metal music. Sometimes the more drive channel doesn’t work quite like I expected to, however one thing I notice is that when I turn the trouble down a little bit it seems to work just fine.

The Fender Frontman 212R Electric Guitar Amplifier really contains bulletproof construction, which I can say is very similar to many the older tube amplifiers Fender used to make in the 1960s and 1970s. I will even go as far as saying that it sounds a lot like a twin reverb. The one thing I like about this is that you won’t have to quite sell the farm in order to get it, and it’s light enough to not give you a hernia when you’re trying to carry it from your van into the garage or vice versa. I mean that I must admit I was shocked at the power and amp like this can really generate. Not only is it strong but the sound is so clear so I’m get it so you right now that you really don’t have to worry about impressing people when you’re out doing gigs or any other job you my task this with. Just please be aware that if you decide to go past the number two on the volume control, you might have the please see your door for public disturbance, that’s how loud this amplifier is.

Another customer took their new Fender Frontman 212R Electric Guitar Amplifier to their very first rehearsal, and their lead guitarist set the volume control the three and it literally almost blew the windows out. So to say that this amplifier is very loud is an understatement. He ended up having to not only turn his Gibson down but this set the volume down on the amplifier right at about one so he wouldn’t break any windows out and wouldn’t get in any potential trouble. He doesn’t think anybody can handle being anywhere in the vicinity of this amplifier if the volume control was placed on 10. The super overdrive in overdrive on this amplifier are two really cool features I’ve gotten to enjoy and the clean setting was a nice extra touch as well.

Both of us tried to mimick a very popular song in the solo version sounded exactly identical using this amplifier. The only reason I’m telling you this is because I want to fill you in on some perspective as to the real power that this device has and how much it’ll serve you in your next gig. I know me saying this might or might not convince you, but there are some very popular songs that have the same type of crunch this amplifier has. And you’ll also be happy to know, that a solid foot switch is also included and although this might not the be-all end-all it was really nice to get this in addition to the amplifier itself.

JBL EON 518S 500 Watt 18 Inch Powered Subwoofer

By Brian & Jeff On October 15, 2011 1 Comment

I wanted to take a little bit of time today, to review the JBL EON 518S 500 Watt 18 Inch Powered Subwoofer
. And the easiest way for me to do this, would be to research what other customers had to say about it and report the results while at the same time interjecting my personal opinion of course. One customer that just purchased the JBL EON 518S 500W 18″ Powered Subwoofer did it so they can get rid of an older system. They thought the best part of these subwoofers was the fact that they are portable and also had integrated amplifiers. Another big plus is that they’re very light and at the same time pack of very strong thump. One of the issues some people experience with the 515′s is that they tend to get concerned about the output. And while these sound pretty darn good when you have them on a low-volume, if you crank up the frequency they peaked too early. If you’re using bass you’ll realize that 350 Watts gets used up real fast. However if you end up splitting the signal using the Hilton high pass filters you will not experience this type of potential problem.

The clarity with the JBL EON 518S 500 Watt 18 Inch Powered Subwoofer was very nice to my pleasant surprise. It will end up producing all the bottom end power you’ll ever need with even some to spare. The sounds it produces are very thick and clean sounding bass and kick drum sounds, and you can even use it to produce vocals and enhance guitar sounds as well. I really wish this product however, came with a more detailed user manual because the manual it comes with is very rudimentary. However there is a polarity switch attached to the 518 model but the manual doesn’t discuss it other than telling you to flip the switch if you’re not happy with the bass response. Unfortunately the polarity function is and explain very well, however these subs are great companion to the 515 models or works great all by themselves.

I’ve been a passive disc jockey for many years now. I tested the JBL EON 518S 500 Watt 18 Inch Powered Subwoofer for two diggs I was involved with over the weekend and tried use them to their full capacity. There was no distortion while they held their ground and didn’t even show any signs of weakness and I’m happy to report that I now use these with my current tri-amp system, I’m really glad I was able to put this issue to rest as I needed a solution that would work with the system. If you want to get more bang for your buck from this speaker set try using a passive system if you’ll be participating in a venue with hundreds or more people.

Just on testing out the JBL EON 518S 500 Watt 18 Inch Powered Subwoofer I was able to get the bases deep and as loud as I needed it to be. Sometimes on the weekend ID discharge events and needed a portable sub that also possessed high enough power so I could fit it under my DJ table and would move without a moving company helping me, just kidding, LOL. I also own a Yamaha 512 mixer amplifier and this product would free it and also enable me to run two more pairs of high-end speakers. The speakers sound terrific and they really enhance my musical performances. I was able to ditch over 100 pounds of my current musical equipment because the sub was able to take the place of all that equipment since the weight of the eon subwoofer is so light. I really find it hard to believe that so much sound can be emanated from something so small and light as this system.

I’m really fascinated by the built-in crossover when the sub is used in conjunction with EON 515 speakers. The vast amount of sound separation is extremely impressive and I cannot get over the synergistic effect when these are all put together. Also when you visit the site you’ll see that this is a very good-looking speaker as well, and although looks on my primary reason for wanting to buy something like this other people will be watching you perform so having a nice-looking set is only to be in your favor. I didn’t buy it for any special rebate offers or special deals, I wanted to pay retail because this is an instrument that I plan on using for a long time so didn’t bother me at all.

If you want to start producing sound that make your cabinets open up, then the JBL EON 518S 500 Watt 18 Inch Powered Subwoofer will probably end up doing this for you as well is giving you more bottom and then you have right now. I wouldn’t recommend cranking up the system too loud because if you do, chances are you’ll have some real angry neighbors knocking your door asking you to replace their windows you shattered because of the excessive noise the speakers will produce. Whether you want to use the system the DJs or weddings, there’s no reason it won’t come through for you with flying colors. Yes you do end up paying good money for a system like this, but this is one of the scenarios were you actually pay for what you get. And when I’m out doing gigs this usually no one that can help me carry the equipment and carry it back out when I leave so having a system that’s lightweight and easy to carry just makes my job a lot easier.

The chess banging subsystems of the best, so this JBL EON 518S 500 Watt 18 Inch Powered Subwoofer really made sense for me. Even if you are 100 yards away and still be able to hear the sound very well so for under a grand you can complain about the price, especially for the kind of sound they eminate. You can run them with the Mackie SRM450 or use them with many other types of systems.

Marshall MG30FX 10 Inch 30 Watt Guitar Combo Amplifier

By Brian & Jeff On October 15, 2011 No Comments

The Marshall MG30FX 10 Inch 30 Watt Guitar Combo Amplifier is built with one-of-a-kind FDD circuitry, and in addition to this you will receive 30 W of power so you can play your favorite tones. You’ll also receive a 10 inch speaker a three band equalizer as well as 4 switchable channels so you can completely customize your tones to your liking. Your line or headphone out jack includes cabinet emulation as well as for digital effects. I feel that the engineers who designed this amplifier did an awesome job with synergizing digital functionality and convenience with the Hallmark Marshall tones you’ve come to love and respect over the years.

MG4 series sports super great sound, and the one-of-a-kind feel of their all tube amplifiers are just legendary. Marshall understands how it all tube power amplifier disposed to work with the speakers. You don’t have to settle for one or the other, because this is an amplifier that will give you the best of both scenarios. The key here is to allow you to create the tones you want, and at the same time offering a user-friendly, flexible programming functionality see can access and store all of your favorable Marshall tones.

You can use the Marshall MG30FX 10 Inch 30 Watt Guitar Combo Amplifier in either the preset or the manual mode. If you choose the preset mode, you’ll be able to store the individual positions of all the controls excluding the master volume control, which will allow you to store each individual setting for every channel see can instantly recall them later. If you select a particular channel, it will automatically recall the settings that are stored in a particular channel. The front panel control positions update without any intervention on your part.

The Marshall MG30FX 10 Inch 30 Watt Guitar Combo Amplifier acts just like any other amplifier does, just adjust the controls to suit your individual needs, and although you can save a stored position, please understand that channel switching won’t inevitably recall these positions. When you’re using the MG30FX guitar amplifier combo you have four different channels available to you which are OD1, clean, crunch and 0D2 and you can use all of these as the foundation channels to start building the sounds you want to build.

You always have the option to effortlessly switch between channels by just using a few of the pushbutton controls or by using a foot switch if that is your thing. To create simultaneous effects you have two different options available to you which are reverb and one of the following four effects which are delay, phaser, flanger and course. Just one knob controls all of these four effects if you can actually believe that. If you turn the knob clockwise it will increase the modulation effects speed as well as the delay affect level. All you have to do to set the delay is use the front panel tap button and it can be set manually.

We went on to do a little bit more research on the Marshall MG30FX 10 Inch 30 Watt Guitar Combo Amplifier because we wanted to hear what a few customers thought about it, and here’s what we found. One customer really like the performance of this amplifier and it went well beyond what he thought this amplifier can do. He mentioned the sound was crisp and sounded very clean and the speaker was able to recognize any particular distortions that were thrown at it and the sound remained great despite all the hard use. He also mentioned that the output is exceptional for only a 30 Watt amplifier, and that although he hasn’t been involved with playing the electric guitar in quite a few years he wanted to start playing again in a new Marshall was the ticket.

He also mentioned that Marshall was the cream of the current crop when he was a child and that even though he’s almost 60 now he still believes that it’s a top-of-the-line amplifier. I also have a hard time disagreeing except that I also have to say that Fender amps are probably still one of my favorites right up there with Marshall. For the small investment this amp really will give you bang for the buck and people use these types of amplifiers all the time for playing in bars and also for playing in little garage bands. You can have a lot of fun with the Marshall amplifier and if you’re just getting back into the groove again or just wanna keep hanging 10 in dreamland this could very well be the musical instrument of your choice.

Another customer mention that even though they were typically a user of dedicated tube amplifiers that they are now entirely shocked by the quality that the Marshall MG series has released. They also mentioned that the price of the Marshall MG30FX 10 Inch 30 Watt Guitar Combo Amplifier is a force to be reckoned with and ranks right up there with all valve which is a pretty bold comment. Not only is the overdrive supercold, the delays are so effective that you really don’t need any additional pills to operate this. So if you’re one of those all valve fans I don’t blame you but at least take a second to check out the Marshall MG series because if you do I think it be very impressed.

Another customer mention that they been used to playing their Kramer guitar with a small grill amplifier for just over two decades. However she mentioned after playing guitar all this time that it was finally time for her to upgrade to a more recent model. Then they started associating the concept of flicking a switch being characteristic of the functionality of the Marshall MG30FX 10 Inch 30 Watt Guitar Combo Amplifier. That’s what gave her one of those rare lightbulb moments that said just try out the Marshall it’s not like she had anything to lose. So she goes out and tries it and realizes that the clean crunch button performs exactly how they said it would and the reverb functions just as good as the Marshall that she bought back in 1974 so she has absolutely no regrets at this point.

You Rock Guitar YRG-1000

By Brian & Jeff On October 14, 2011 No Comments

The You Rock Guitar YRG-1000 Black Midi Controller Electric Guitar is sold by you rock digital. This product comes with 25 real guitar as well as 50 different synthesizer sounds using advanced digital guitar technology. This means that you’ll have the ability to jam to 50 different drum loops as well as 25 different songs. This comes with a low latency USB as well as five pin DIN outputs along with the fastest MIDI tracking technology that allows you to record not only on a PC but on a Mac as well. You can break out your MP3 player and play along with this using your stereo audio input jack, as the software supports 1/8 of an inch headphones and one quarter of an inch guitar outputs. You can also use many pro adapters and an optional game flex cartridge to play rock band and guitar hero. This guitar also has removable neck that allows you to transport this anywhere, and sits its USB as well as battery-powered you can even go mobile with it.

The You Rock Guitar YRG-1000 Black Midi Controller Electric Guitar is a full powered Midi and digital guitar. Not only is it accurate, but it’s also very fast and adjust feel so darn good to play this because of its original patented fretboard technology. This guitar also includes 99 internal presets that give you the ability to select any of 25 professionally sampled and used guitar sounds as well as 50 Midi synthesized sounds as well as 50 drum loops and 25 songs. This guitar will never need to be tuned for the simple fact that it’s digital. There are 65 internal tunings you can select from as well as nine various custom tunings that you can create yourself. It’s really easy to play along with the songs that are programmed into the system so you’ll never get it wrong. This is one cool method of learning how to play the guitar very easily and very quickly.

The You Rock Guitar YRG-1000 Black Midi Controller Electric Guitar even has its cute little built-in recorder that also includes an input jack so you can break out your favorite MP3 player or other audio devices of your choice and start playing along and getting involved. You can connect this guitar to your preferred computer music or beat software applications using USB or MIDI ports that are compatible with the PC or Mac so you can immediately start learning and recording at the same time. And with the USB you can even start downloading content off the Internet. And if you choose to use game flex cartridges, it’s a no-brainer connecting to your favorite video games such as guitar hero or rock band or even using a MIDI professional adapter that can be used for advanced playing on the Xbox, PS3 and WII platforms.

All you need to operate the You Rock Guitar YRG-1000 Black Midi Controller Electric Guitar are 4 AA batteries which are not included with the guitar, or you can choose to plug it into a USB port. Once you purchase this you get a user manual, the you rock guitar, USB cables, pics, guitar strap and a guitar chord poster. Since this guitar doesn’t have any neck strings, you can consider the next actual keyboard which has very sensitive string inlays across the neck, the modulation switches and pitch bend function very good. I happen to like the outputs a lot. I was surprised that the onboard samples rashly as good as they were. The software panel functions very nicely and function kind of like the axon control panel.

Every single variable can be adjusted on this guitar, and the developers have plans to keep adding new BIOS features that they plan on releasing in future updates. If you find a need to contact their customer support department, you’ll find that they are very dandy in Jolley to work with. Using their control panel to set up your guitar is what I strongly recommend because you end up optimizing it to suit your particular playing style as you start adjusting your velocity tables as well as your individual string sensitivities. I realized after doing a little better research, that this is one company that stands behind their work because they send one customer who requested it three different guitars to check out and even called them and followed up on the situation.

Not only did they do this, they kept track of all the dialogue between themselves and the customer through a forum for they were allowed to type their questions and answers. The You Rock Guitar YRG-1000 Black Midi Controller Electric Guitar is just made out of lightweight plastic, it’s not the same material that they used to craft the space shuttle with, so if you’re expecting anything out of the ordinary you might be disappointed in this regard. I would not recommend taking this instrument in banging around all over your house and I would advise not dropping it either at all possible. Although this is just my personal opinion, I think if you dropped this on a hard floor a couple times it would break and be done with. However if you’re responsibly using this guitar, I believe that it can last for many years.

In this FISA will do more then just MIDI guitar stuff, like tapping and rigorous chord strumming. However I would not use this with the intention of replacing a real guitar. The honest truth is this might or might not be for you. It all boils down to your expectations and needs, because we all have different expectations and needs some of us are to love this and some just won’t like it at all. As far as latency is concerned, if this guitar is used by itself without any type of external sequencers then you won’t have to worry about any latency. If you want to interface with the externals at school but I have to clarify something, that there’s a good chance you’re going to experience variability to in your set up in somebody else’s.

Although some people get the You Rock Guitar YRG-1000 Black Midi Controller Electric Guitar for gaming I happen to get this one is a musician so I can only speak in regards to how it does for MIDI tracking. This guitar killed the role and synthesizer pickup but I attached to my Gibson Les Paul. However the tracking wasn’t even in the same ballpark as the tracking on my Godin Jazz Guitar. But what we have to think about here is how much you’re spending and how much are getting back. For practicing and screwing around this guitar is the best out there for the price hands-down, and of course that’s just my personal opinion.

Fender Mustang IV Guitar Amplifier

By Brian & Jeff On October 14, 2011 No Comments

The reason will be reviewing the Fender Mustang IV Guitar Amplifier is the same reason we reviewed the previous three Mustang versions. This is a good guitar amplifier that will serve your needs if you plan on playing in public places and need lots of different options for tone control. What I need to tell you is that the four model I could actually argue is the holy Grail of guitar amplifiers that replicates to the T, teaming tonal qualities of the more higher-end amplifiers that Fender offers, such as the supersonic, the deluxe and basin models. Although I have to admit by growing up in Southern California, which pretty much makes me a bias Fender fan, I don’t work for the company, don’t know anyone in the company and have no intention of working for the company in the near future.

When I’m not playing guitar I’m a writer, and love to write articles like this on my spare time. Sure I make a few cents here and they’re doing it, that is not my primary motivation. I love to write because I love to write and hopefully that should say it all and I do love Fender guitars because they grew up with the rock ‘n roll industry and have always been a rock ‘n roll fan ever since I was small child. So when I tell you this is a great sounding amplifier and also a personal one, I’m speaking from experience. I’m going to legitimately argue that the supersonic settings as well as the basement settings justify the entire price of this guitar amplifier all by itself.

Also the modeling technology that Fender is implementing on the Fender Mustang IV Guitar Amplifier is beyond belief. And just to steer off track a bit, you not have any problem being short on volume with this musical instrument. This product comes with 12 inch Celestion speakers and also has 150 W of output power. In fact the output power on this amplifier is so strong, that unless there is a lot of space between your home and the home next year you’re probably not ever want to turn it past 4 to 5 why you’re playing live music. All you have to do to hear some sampled beats for this is take a quick visit to YouTube and type in the search term Fender Mustang 4. The NAMM show has a couple videos on YouTube that demonstrates exactly how this guitar amplifier works. You can also watch the video of the guitarist that’s using a green carbon guitar and a Mustang four amp, inside of his basement.

You can see him showing off the Fender Mustang IV Guitar Amplifier model and he gives you a great idea of all the various tones you’ll be able to get with this. You can also see exactly what this amp is capable of even on a bad day. Okay Alice met the guy on the and NAMM video does happen to be a Fender representative but seriously, does it really matter? His only job is to show everyone exactly what this amplifier can do. And at the end of the day all that matters is can you bang out awesome tones and did your money stretch out as far as possible. The other thing you really need to ask yourself, is do you really love using it? If you do and this is your hobby or even if it’s a full-time gig of yours, and you’re happy with it, that’s all that matters. At the end of the day you have to be happy and satisfied with the product and pretty much everyone who buys the Mustang 4 seems to be.

Another Fender customer who’s been playing guitar for about three decades said that he needed an amplifier that can be used as amplification for other musical instruments related to the guitar since he enjoys doing experimental music like ukuleles and other instruments. The key to making this happen is to add inputs and outputs that are well-thought-out and that also use standardized acts, so you have lots of options as far as this is concerned. If this amplifier was to have its competition evaluated, this customer believes that the line 6 IV Spider is as close as you get to being a direct competitor. However the line 6 is completely dedicated to basically just hard rock and heavy metal music which comes with a lot of gadgets that don’t have any real value like the limited looper for example.

If heavy metal is all you’re interested in then maybe the line 6 might be better for you. But if experimentation is your game like it is for a lot of people in the music industry that are constantly testing and tweaking different instruments and genres the Fender Mustang IV Guitar Amplifier will kill the line 6 any day of the week. As I mentioned before the modeling is superb and the tones are incredible area. When you get this amp, you’ll notice that it comes with multitrack software as well is a four button foot switch.

Whoever designed the electronic’s on the Fender Mustang IV Guitar Amplifier should be given a shrine as the electronics were very thoroughly put together and the learning curve is almost nonexistent. If you still have any old effects petals after purchasing this amplifier you can get prepared to start selling them off because you won’t really need them after you buy this, since you’re pretty much covered for any style of music once you get this particular Fender amplifier model. And the vintage look in the grill as well is the look in the knobs make this a real attractive musical instrument. If I was to make just one suggestion for improvements, I would suggest adding a second input and clean channel but I also want to mention that you really don’t need it but I think it would make the amplifier function a little bit better.

Fender Mustang III Guitar Amplifier

By Brian & Jeff On October 14, 2011 No Comments

Before I decided to start this Fender Mustang III Guitar Amplifier
review, I wanted to take a little bit of time to evaluate what a few other serious customers really think about this product. One started fiddling with the amplifier for a few days, which included messing with the effects so he could end up creating his own personal presets for his own playing styles. One good thing to note is the sound is literally unbeatable and you don’t have to end up investing thousands of dollars in separate amplifiers and effects not to mention investing in massive storage space just to store all of the music equipment you would’ve ended up aggregating. The sound that eminates from this amplifier is as good as or to find anywhere else, and this also includes heavy metal sounds. If you’re looking for a good bluesy type overdriven tube sound you can accomplish this as well. Tube amps used to be my thing for quite a few years and I wasn’t personally able to detect any sort of noticeable difference between the Mustang three and a real tube amplifier.

Maybe some famous musician like Axel Rose might be able to, but I wasn’t. One thing you need to be cognizant of, is that this amplifier has trouble remembering the last setting it was on right before you turned it off. The default setting always goes back to the preset 00, and temporary setting changes are not held when you’re trying to flip between different presets. Let’s say you’re trying to use a wide delay affect on your favorite preset for example, and then you also want to maintain this while at the same time switching over to a different preset unfortunately it just won’t do this. You can’t do this if you saved the wide delay to the patch before you start playing. The good news is that once you understand this limitation planning around it is very simple for almost everyone, however you do need to be aware that this exists. Unfortunately it just won’t work like a petal that automatically stays on until you decide to stomp it off.

The Fender Mustang III Guitar Amplifier ships out with only 100 presets and many of these I didn’t find extremely useful but a few of them I did. You do have the option however, using the basic amplifier models with presets 88 to 99 and all you’ll need to do is copy and paste them into 00 to 12. Then you can go back and tweak each one to your desired sound, then go at all the different effects you want and then just hit save. Once these settings are saved it’s easy to tweak the volume gain and equalization by just listing the knob just like you would on any other legacy amplifier. At the end of the day, I’m very happy with the performance of this particular amplifier. The sound is cool and it is even easier to use than most of the pedal boards you’ve been hearing about lately.

Each day that goes by a find myself more and more impressed with the Fender Mustang three guitar amplifier. I can’t get any sound I want now out of this and as time goes on tweaking it in customizing the settings just gets much easier. What makes this different from the Mustang I and Mustang II models is its ability to transform individuals sound effects on and off without having to constantly switch patches. Heck, you can even add a stomp box setting for functionalities such as overdrive or compression as well as some others without the need to switch up the patch or even use the few software that comes with this guitar amplifier. Personally I like the overdrive and compression functionalities and find them very helpful and at this point I don’t regret spending the extra hundred dollars for the Mustang III version. Plus the other thing I like about the third version is that I don’t have any problems finding which settings are active on my liquid crystal diode screen, which is a lot harder to do on the Mustang one and two versions.

The Fender Mustang III Guitar Amplifier has come in very handy for a couple of my band practices. There is no problem with clarity, and I also tried it with one of my Les Paul models. You can use this not only for practicing songs but also for learning new songs and using this instrument for this purpose makes things a lot easier. I do find myself always having this musical instrument close to my personal computer, so I can pull be top Internet and it sounds great even when it’s playing at a low volume. I did find myself purchasing a mono adapter as well as a mono guitar cable so it would properly plug into this amplifier before started recording with it. Another thing to note is if you try to use one of the stereo adapters it can sound like garbage. Any extra cables you need like a line out cable, the mono guitar cable or the mono adapter can be purchased at RadioShack.

The only real beef that I have with Fender about this particular model is that I wish they had it made the line out loud half an inch. The patches on this model are a lot more suitable than some of the patches that I’ve seen previously on other modeling pedal boards. So I have to give Fender credit on an outstanding job that they did while they were modeling this amp. I don’t have an exact number, but I think there is somewhat in the vicinity of 99 patches, and of these 99 about 40 of them are really cool. I also wish Fender would’ve devised a comprehensive owner’s manual with this amplifier, had they have done this it would’ve been even nicer touch. All things being equal, I do plan on using this particular Fender amplifier at my next gig so obviously have nothing really bad to say about it.

I do have to make a final confession though when it comes to the Fender Mustang III Guitar Amplifier. I’ve been a lover of Fender amps for decades, ever since I’ve been a 10-year-old kid which was about 30 years ago. I grew up in Orange County California and every single kid in my neighborhood was a wanna be rock star and musician. I used to always have a predilection for the black face amps. Because if you’re working with a great right panel, you can really knock out some awesome distorted tones and when the pedals not on, it can be argued that angels are singing. This modeling amplifier does anything you want to. I can honestly say that it takes the place of several different lactase amplifiers as well as providing specific tones for a broad range of other amplifiers. And using this amplifier doesn’t limit you to just playing one kind music.

Whether you want to use it or practice with it playing life with the pedal switch how you operate individual channels or any via fax is completely up to you. You can use this amplifier for just practice or you could it at any live gigs you decide to play at. Personally I think the Fender Mustang III Guitar Amplifier is the top of the heap when it comes to modeling amp technology that then again, like I said I’ve lived in Southern California all my life and I followed them since I’ve been 10 years old which is about 32 years now. So if you happen to have a different opinion than me, I have this respect this. But to this day, I’ve personally never found a guitar amplifier that does everything this one does for under $300.

Fender Mustang II Guitar Amplifier

By Brian & Jeff On October 14, 2011 No Comments

Today I will be reviewing the Fender Mustang II Guitar Amplifier. While doing my review, I went out into the field so to speak to find out what others thought about this product. One of the first customers that I found said that he was extremely impressed with this amplifier. He went on to mention that Fender really put a whole bunch of great features into this inexpensive and super nice-sounding musical instrument. Right now he’s had the amplifier for two weeks and he is still learning all that it can do.

However this is a very exciting musical instrument to own based on everything it can do and is one of the best products that is come his way in years. First off, the various amplifier presets are absolutely terrific and a few software that they include will allow you to make editing very easy as well as store as many presets as you want on your computer. There is a myriad of amplifier models as balls affects that you can choose from and the fuse interface is so intuitive that even a child can do this without any problems.

You also have the ability to replace any of the default factory presets that come with this Fender Mustang II Guitar Amplifier with your own custom beats, which makes this a truly custom amplifier and you can do this using your computer. Secondly the sound that eminates from this amplifier is just truly astonishing. I’ve always been more fond of tube technology versus solid state technology myself, so suffice to say that when this amplifier came along I was very impressed to say the least. The sound this produces is just truly fabulous, and you could tell the differences between the various amplifier models.

I really think that Fender made their mark this time with the extra options that they’ve included in the Fender Mustang II Guitar Amplifier. They have an input available for your audio or MP3 player, so if you’re one of those types like me who like to practice while they are playing their music, you are in luck. They offer a headphone output solution that can also be used as a speaker emulator that will assist you in recording as well as a USB connection that will allow you to connect to the few software and also the recording software.

Ableton is free recording software that is also included in the Fender Mustang two guitar amplifier model. And the fact that all of this comes from the $200 is a really good deal. If you take a little bit of time and actually visit the Fender Mustang II Guitar Amplifier website, you’ll be able to see their demo video there. Watching this video will give you sort of a broad overview of the various features in addition to some of the sound samples and some presets that you can listen to as well. And don’t let their videos for you, when you actually purchase this product to find out that the sound this good in person. The main difference between the Fender Mustang I Guitar Amplifier and the Mustang II is that the Mustang II just has a lot more power. So if you don’t need a whole bunch of extra power the Fender Mustang I will probably be more than sufficient for which are trying to do.

And if you’re one of those people like me who love to model vintage tones, then in my humble opinion this amplifier will fulfill all your needs. One customer thought that Fender blew away many of the other major competitors when it came to comparing preset vintage tones against each other. This customer claims to have played amplifiers and unsound effects for quite a few different companies, and has been involved in some of the hybrid amps they use a combination of tube in digital tones. So if your main objective is to re-create rock, country, hard rock or vintage blues been getting any of the Mustang amps from Fender will help you accomplish what you want and you really won’t get better than the Mustang series.

I personally haven’t had any problems using the tone editing feature, as so far it’s been very intuitive and easy to tweak it sounds just by turning the knobs. And when Fender fuse is added you can even start downloading more tones off the Internet and start tweaking them with as many stomp boxes and musical effects that are easy to play with which is what makes this amplifier such an awesome deal at the end of the day. Heck I’m not even talking about the able to recording software that’s included with this Fender Mustang II Guitar Amplifier after you buy it. What makes this guitar amplifier such a good deal is because Fender took the time to pull out some of the best features of some of their more previous models like the deluxe reverb, the twin reverb and the bassman.

Sure you can always vouch to be a tube amp snob, and argue that this will never match one of the top-notch Fender tube amplifiers. However if your mission is just to re-create the sound of great Fender amps but it somewhat lower volumes the Mustang will end up being a great starter amplifier for you. The other option is you to bring this amp to guitar practice because it will end up weighing so much less than your standard Fender tube amplifier would end up weighing. So if you’re not going on active gigs the Fender Mustang II Guitar Amplifier will serve you quite well. Also please remember that you don’t have to be computer savvy to use this amplifier as all the computer interfacing is extremely user-friendly.

Plus you don’t ever have to plug the Fender Mustang II Guitar Amplifier into the computer to have fun with it, as there’s plenty of other things to do on this amplifier to keep you busy. I mean what could be easier than downloading new tones off the Internet and tweaking them to meet your needs. And if you’re a hard-core metalhead, the Fender Mustang II guitar amplifier might not be your cup tea. If you really want to mimic these types of tones, look into a higher gain line 6 or even Vox ADT hybrid amplifiers that will better assist you in producing these types of hard-core tones.

Fender Mustang I Guitar Amplifier

By Brian & Jeff On October 14, 2011 No Comments

The Fender Mustang I Guitar Amplifier includes a 20 W closed back combo and also includes an 8 inch specially designed speaker that is specifically made to sound cool and pump out serious volume at the same time. Included with this our 24 super accurate on board amplifier presets with various tones included like the vintage fender sparkle all the way to modern heavy-metal distortion sounds. Some of these 24 built-in sound effects include vibratone, reverb, octave, step filter, tremolo, phasing, and flanging. This product is great if you want to start doing your own jammin practice sessions with your buddies and it also includes 1/8 of an inch headphone jacks which allow you to play as loud as you want even if you’re just playing by yourself.

Also the Mustang line allows you to connect with your computer with the free Fender few software that they include with the ample fire. This makes the possibilities to use this amplifier pretty much endless. For example you’ll have complete on-screen parameter control, additional effects, deep editing capabilities, unlimited preset storage ability and online preset swapping with other Fender fuse customers. If this wasn’t enough you’ll also get free Fender artist presets. You’ll also receive single button foot switch controls with two quick access presets which is just optional. Not everybody uses these but they’re there for you to use if you want them.

One customer purchased the Fender Mustang I Guitar Amplifier for his nine-year-old child who is starting to learn guitar so his dad got this for him as a Christmas present. He thought that since he really likes Fender guitars and since he already had a mini Squier that also having a Fender guitar would be a great plus since now they had diversity on their side. He thought this guitar would just end up being a cheap imitation of the line 6 spider with the Fender logo attached to it, but he now admits that he should of put more of his betting chips in Fender than he did. He was really happy with the sounds that this Fender Mustang guitar amplifier could create on a whim. These amplifier models are way more interesting and real sounding than any other musical instrument he’s ever used in the past.

The other thing he mentioned is that the amplifier doesn’t have that fake digital or process sound to it, that the sounds are robust and real sounding once you start cranking that gain. When you start listening to this amp, you would really think that they’re actually tubes in this. The twin reverb and delay speeches on this amp are something you’ll have trouble getting over once you get one of these. One of the best features of this Mustang 1 is that the vintage sounding tones are superb and it’s the only modeling amp that we know of that has these kinds of tones. If you’re in heavy metal music, try out line six. Also try line 6 if you’re looking for a lot of oddball type nichey tones.

Also you’ll love the Fender Mustang I Guitar Amplifier if you are into rock, country, phone, classic rock or the blues. So if modern metal is your big thing you have a few good choices available to you. You’ll also find it really easy to tweak the tones on this amp using the included controls. These controls are very user-friendly, seal always know exactly where you’re at and what you need to do to start editing your sound. In other words you don’t have to wrestle with your LCD screen in order to start making some real cool tweaks. But if going deep is your cup of tea, then the Fender few software deftly has your back. Not only is it simple to use, there are an almost unlimited supply of user submitted tones that will allow you to really hone in customize the sound you’re looking for.

The Fender Mustang I Guitar Amplifier includes fuse which is a plus in itself, however they also included Ableton recording software that has a reputation for being very user intuitive and also being fully functional without having to dish out any extra money to upgrade anything, which makes this just icing on the cake. Personally I find it enjoyable to practice every night and to have an amplifier that can maintain quiet but still sound great and that allows me to put on a headphone jack and use the auxiliary import allows me to play anytime I feel like it. I actually purchases amplifier after having a much more expensive one, into be honest I don’t feel like I’m downgrading it all, but I feel more like and getting all the same features without all the extra cost.

I was originally pessimistic about purchasing the Fender Mustang I Guitar Amplifier probably because the price is so low and it contained all these features. Since the prices so low it had all these extra bells and whistles, I assume that the parts had to be cheap and would break really easily. But while surfing the web I was able to view some cool videos on YouTube and the Fender website that actually rest me a lot. Eventually I stepped up to the plate and went with the Mustang model. Looking back I’m glad I did this, because this amp has everything I was looking for. Even without the software that was sold with it would’ve been an awesome amp. However with the few software, this amplifier in my opinion it is now the top of the heap. It’s so easy to add any kind of effect you’d like to hear, and also alter these effects just like you would if you were using real petals. But using the software you’ll actually be able to do this in much more depth and detail than most of the multi-FX units that are being sold on the market today.

The Fender Mustang I Guitar Amplifier software is a piece a cake to get the hang of, although you might or might not be impressed with Amplitube. The amp itself in my opinion is pure genius engineering on behalf of the good folks at Fender. I mean seriously, who enjoys lugging around more petals and cables and have to. I prefer to use guitar amplifiers like this one because I don’t have to worry about producing all the special effects myself since they are already built into this guitar amplifier.
